What you’ll do


Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities 

  •  Responsible for managing several functional accounting areas within the local accounting office.
  •  Prepare tax filings/payments as required by local authorities for your countries of responsibility
  •  Responsible for ensuring integrity of accounting information and compliance with local laws, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP),  and company controls
  •  Responsible for the preparation of the month-end account reconciliations, journal entries and support schedules
  •  Support the employee payrolls and HR benefits processing for country
  •  Review/approve local disbursements in accordance with the company’s authority policy
  •  Work with internal/external auditors to provide requested support
  •  Provide local support to the company resolving issues that arise
  •  Represent your country in cross-departmental work groups and ad-hoc assignments
  •  Ensure timely and accurate completion of all duties assigned to you and your team
  •  Work multiple projects simultaneously, complying with required deadlines and adjusting priorities

All you’ll need for success


Person Specification


  •  University degree with a focus in Accounting or equivalent education/training
  •  At least 3 years supervisory/management experience
  •  At least 3 years of related accounting experience
  •  Proven experience of International business practices, tax and labor laws
  •  Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and International Financial Reporting Standards
  •  Demonstrated excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills
  •  Ability to work with mainframe based tools; proficient with PC and Microsoft Office software (e.g., Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint)
  •  Adaptable to change
  •  Ability to motivate employees in working as a team
  •  Self-motivated and have a positive hands-on approach
  •  Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment, with minimal supervision
  •  Strong organizational skills
  •  Fluent in verbal and written English and additional local languages, if applicable
  •  Excellent communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with employees at all levels within the organization
  •  Ability to deal with confidential subject matters
  •  Able and willing to work flexibly with a willingness to undertake Domestic and International travel as required



  •  MBA, CPA, or equivalent education/certification
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of airline accounting practices
  •  Demonstrated knowledge of SAP and Hyperion


Language/Communication Skills

  • Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with all levels within the organization
